The Africa-China Centre for Policy & Advisory (ACCPA) has announced signing a partnership agreement with the MIE Group, headquartered in Dubai.
The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory is an independent Sino-African research and policy think tank and advisory firm headquartered in Accra, Ghana.
The Centre is dedicated to providing unbiased policy and market research as well as distinct views on Africa-China relations.
The MIE Group, on the other hand, was founded in 2000 and is the first domestic professional exhibition-serving organizer in Dubai. MIE Groups pioneered the channel for Chinese companies to participate in Middle East and Africa exhibitions.
Under the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the two organizations will work together to develop mutual cooperation and business relations towards the development and promotion of respective services from ACCPA and its Advisory Consultancy and MIE Trading Platforms ‘CTW’ (China Trade Week) Editions taking place in Ghana, Morocco, & Kenya.
The China Trade Week is a global initiative of the MIE Group geared towards contributing to the development of the platforms as an African and global market focus to develop synergy through government, stakeholders, and industry to bring focus and attention to the investment and global trade opportunities in Ghana, Morocco, and Kenya.
According to the Executive Director of the ACCPA, Paul Frimpong, the partnership with MIE Group speaks to their organization’s commitment to providing knowledge and serving as a key bridge between Africa and China.
"At the ACCPA, we are clear on our objectives—sharing African perspectives in respect of our relations with China. We are therefore committed to any initiative that shares similar objectives, just as the China Trade Week spearheaded by the MIE Group."
"I am very optimistic that we will be able to play a role in championing investment drives across the African region through the series of China Trade Weeks scheduled for Ghana, Kenya, and Morocco."
Speaking on behalf of MIE Group, Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at MIE Groups, stated, “MIE Groups are privileged to ink an MOU with ACCPA, that further strengthens our commitment to Africa in presenting further FDI opportunities for key projects and regions in Africa.
Our established markets of Kenya, Ghana & Morocco will benefit from ACCPA’s extensive network and strategic mandate to focus and highlight the enormous opportunities in these countries, and in parallel solidify the bilateral and economic relationships.”
